Most of which have a similar problem, but I think this is caused by something else. This has caused a few days of frustration, and I have exhausted just about every google search related to this issue. Thank you very much if you have read this far. In device manager, after clicking "show hidden devices":Īnd lastly, here are what the settings look like for all my active bluetooth services. after a few seconds it goes back to saying "paired" Even if the mouse is paired and operating on a different device I still see this all the time:įailed. Shows up as paired, doesn't work and my mouse is in discoverable mode. I can pair other devices to my laptop and use them, and also remove them with no issues I can pair the mouse and use it on two other devices I just changed the battery on the mouse I have also switched the bluetooth service to the local account like many posts recommend, it does not fix the problem.

I tried updating my intel wifi and bluetooth drivers, the bios, and every single windows update available for the computer. Now it shows up as a generic device instead of an intel one. I have also tried to disable or uninstall the bluetooth adapter and reboot, doesn't seem to do much. I uninstalled every ghosted pointing device under pointing devices in device manager I changed my environment variable to show ghosted devices, there is no ghosted bluetooth mouse. If I go into device manager, I can remove the mouse but it just shows up again after a restart. I have tried to remove it in devices and printers, which also says remove failed. I can not pair the mouse with the laptop at all now, and can not use it at all with my laptop. It currently shows up as "paired" and if I try to remove it, it says "remove failed" The mouse stopped working and I cannot remove it in the bluetooth settings menu.

Sometimes the mouse stops working so I remove the device in bluetooth settings and then pair it again and it works. I have been using a bluetooth mouse with it for a few months. I have a Gigabyte P34g v2 laptop running pre-installed windows 8.1.
